Love the fact I can adjust the heat settings on the controller to low or high and then numerical from 1-8 for the intensity of the warmth. The first night I received it was a blessing as it turned out to be cold, and I needed the blanket, so I was thankful it had arrived that afternoon for use. I turned it to L for Low and only used the number 1 for level of intensity of the heat, and I was nice and toasty with warmth. I slept so well that I wasn't aware of when it shut off as I was surrounded by warmth all night. The outer portion of the blanket is very soft, and the overall feel of the blanket has a slight weighted feel to it which is something I like as I love weighted covers in general. I would highly recommend this heated electric blanket if you are need of purchasing another one like I was as I don't regret it at all. It is very easy to use, and I doesn't seem to shed at least from what I can tell so far. I rubbed it a few times when smoothing it out across the bed and nothing came off the blanket. Sorry I don't have a photo to enclose may add one later as I'm typing this on my laptop in another part of my house and not on my phone.
